About
Dave Cowie has been a repairer of brass and woodwind instruments since 1996.
His love for brass instruments began at the age of 13, when he started to learn the tuba at school in Newcastle. After leaving school, Dave joined the Army as a musician and later transferred to the Territorial Army, as well as playing for a number of brass bands and orchestras in the North East.
Dave moved to London to study Musical Instrument Technology at London Guildhall University, specialising in brass and woodwind instruments. From here R.D.C Brass & Woodwind was born, initially based in Wanstead Music Shop and then moving to Dots, the Camden Music Shop, where his business started to grow.
Dave relocated to Norfolk in 2007 and runs R.D.C Brass and Woodwind part time from his workshop at home in Dereham. Dave prides himself in giving a professional service, offering honest advice and taking care in the repair and servicing of all brass and woodwind instruments from student to professional models.
